Key for this section is the word “exclusion“! This is a term you will hear us use often as it has to do with methods involving not only aesthetically pleasing repairs, but also GUARANTEED construction that will keep wildlife out of your home, garden, shed, yard, or other buildings, etc. for good!

Example of a raccoon in an attic:

Below is a series of images showing our exact process from start to finish! This case for example involved a female raccoon and her juvenile kit that refused to leave on their own from this homeowner’s attic!

Here is a picture of a pretty tale-tale raccoon entrance into this gable vent on the side of a customer’s home. Note all the mud and paw prints!
An up close of the gap the raccoons were squeezing through to get into this vent!
Our trap set-up worked on the first night! What we do that’s on the contrary to pretty much all other wildlife services in Lexington, is we always strive to set the trap directly over the point of entry with specialized traps. We then mesh off around it and make sure that there are no other ways the animal(s) can enter/ exit from the home EXCEPT for through our trap. This not only ensures that we are catching the correct animals, but also gives us a sure fire way of knowing when we can start repairs, and also catches the offending critters A LOT quicker and cost-effective than other wildlife services can.
Once we know the raccoons have all been caught, we first take down our trap, clean everything off, seal all of our screw holes and other areas with 30 year guaranteed professional adhesive sealant, sand it down, and then paint over it all!
The final product! We install our guaranteed to last vent exclusion, bordered, and perforated metal which will keep everything from fu man chu down to a house fly out! Then we also paint over everything again. It’s important to also note that these vent covers have been put through rigorous testing to ensure that your home’s ventilation is in no way affected! Air flow tests have repeatedly concluded that these vent guards still allow for the same amount of air flow as if the vent was uncovered!
